THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

"The Yellow Brick Road" (11-2-17 028v5) was morphed a few days ago from a fairly recent pic. This is the entrance to Pescadero Park; what I often refer to here as the beach overlook. You can just make out the Channel Islands in the far distance where the ocean shows a bit. I'm not all that content with this pic aesthetically (a few little places I wish I could "fix," I doubt that the colors work, and I don't like that that tree is so centered), but I really do like the feeling I get from it so I'm sharing it here.

THAWING OUT

"Thawing Out" (10-18-17 019v2a) was just now morphed from a fairly recent pic of those tree root faves of mine. Nothing much else to say, except that it's clearly been heavily Photoshopped. Of all the several favorite subjects I snap, pix of these eucalyptus roots are the most fun to mess with.

AUTUMN'S LONG FINGERS

"Autumn's Long Fingers" (11-17-17 017v3) was just tortured out of a very new pic. The original photo is of those eucalyptus roots that I so enjoy taking pix of. Nothing much else to say except that I feel as twisted about as these dark "limbs" look. That feeling will pass. Like the wind of which this pic also makes me think.

SERPENTS OF FALL

"Serpents of Fall" (11-26-17 001v3a) was just morphed from a larger pic taken two days ago. As I must have said here before, if I had a favorite season it would be fall. Even back east from where I hail (with its spectacular upstate New York autumn leaves displays). And I love the curves of these tree trunks and branches. I sometimes wonder what passersby think as I stand before a view like this and stare up at it. Especially, with my wheelie walker in front of me and my bamboo-walking-stick-cum-flute in its "holster" taped to one side of it. LOL.

AT THE EDGE OF WINTER

"At the Edge of Winter" (11-26-17 005v2b) was taken yesterday and fudged with today. Sick yet of pix of this tree? Well, sorry 'bout that. It's my blog and I love this tree and its setting. :-) Truth be told, I don't think I've yet captured what draws me. But each time I do get a little something of what pleases me in its aspect.
