DANCE OF THE TREE RINGS
"Dance of the Tree Rings" (7-22-09 4084v2e[3]) was just fudged out of a very old version of an even older pic of mine. The original's not even of a tree, or any part thereof, but of the center of a large (what I call) platter-face cactus (succulent?). It has so many layers of editing beneath the results today I'm surprised it hasn't gone completely wonky on me. And, for a change, I can say that I actually pretty much like this pic, as is and in total. (Well, maybe focus could be a wee bit less tenuous, if you will. But that's a very minor point with such an "abstract" pic.)

DEEP CHILL
"Deep Chill" (7-28-09 4466v2d[3]) was just fussed from a very old version of an even older pic of mine. What else to say about it? Not all that happy with it but it's quite a bit better than anything else I've managed to produce this morning. The chill does really run deep these days, only lifting long enough to raise false hopes of a thaw.

CALAMUS DREAM
"Calamus Dream" (7-16-09 3788ev5[2]) was just fudged from a very old version of a 10 year old pic of mine. Had fun changing it's alignment (tipping it way to one side, which dropped out a lot of the outside edges. I.e., the shapes used to point up and it was a larger, somewhat more representational pic (the original was taken looking up the trunk of a palm). The longer it takes me to get on board with a good image editing program, the more I'm finding ways of doing interesting things with the few options available in Windows 10's Photos program.
