POSEUR

"Poseur" (4-08a-15 039v2a) is an old version of an old pic. It's appeared on my dreams&poetry blog by this name, which I now find strange. I can only figure I saw it as displaying an insincere expression? (If a rose can be said to have facial expressions... smile) I could rename it, but none came readily and I'm in a rush. So I'll stet it. I do like this pic, especially as I saw lots of flora today with raindrops on it during my long walk. A thoroughly delightful sight at any time, but especially during this drought.

RACE TO THE SUN

"Race to the Sun" (3-31-15 016v2) is an old version of an even older pic. I fussed at its crop a bit today as right after I'd decided to post it I remembered the visual balance problem I'd had with it back almost two years ago. Sigh. Didn't manage to fix it. But I still like this pic and will post it as another of those I'm not totally content with. Like I'm ever totally content with a pic, or anything. And especially today: I feel like I'm racing somewhere specific I no longer even recall and, worse, getting no place at all.

THE SKY WATCH

"The Sky Watch" (9-21-16 035v2) is one of those pix that I've had ready for posting for a while. And each time I run across it I think, yeah, why haven't I posted it yet? Then, within seconds I remember the various little issues I have with it. Well, dang it, I'm never completely content with a pic anyway (some just bother me in lesser ways). So, I'm finally posting it today. It's of one of my favorite views that I don't get to see much in colder weather, as it's outdoors on a balcony. I did happen to sit there the other day when we were having some exceptionally summery like weather for January. And it felt great to see this view again. Maybe that's why I really want to post this one today. Other than that wonderful pattern of clouds, that is.

ON THIN ICE

"On Thin Ice" (12-15-16 021v2i) was morphed a couple weeks ago from a new pic. Kinda, sorta like it. I have seen different things in it, at different times. Today, I think of a toe dancer, then tip toeing with great care, and from there to walking carefully across thin (also slippery) ice. That dark vertical splotch on the right gives me that sense, BTW.

ROOM FOR IT ALL

"Room For It All" (5-7-15 009v3) was just cropped yesterday from an old pic. Haven't posted one of ferns recently so it was a delight to stumble on the folder of fern pix it was in.

BEFORE ...; & ...AFTER

I've posted various views of various parts of this building going up over the approximately two years it took. Thought I'd post a "remember when" pic ("Before..." 5-18-15 032v2) above. And one taken just the other day before it rained ("...After" 1-18-17 020v2) below:

I still kinda, sorta miss our mountain view (the retirement community I live in is off to the left end of this building, just across the road from it). But have gotten quite accustomed to the building being there now. Usually only thinking about that mountain view we used to have from our residence, when I come across some old pic of mine. After all, I do get great mountain views coming back from my daily long walks.
