LOOKING FOR A LIFT?

"Looking for a Lift?" (old Pix -1 10017e) was just resurrected, in a way, from a mass of really old pix I moved off the hard drive of my older computer, and that now resides in a "side-lined" deeper level of this computer's drive. A level I tend to forget about. But had a somewhat fun time this morning wandering around and re-familiarizing myself with the memories all those really old pix evoke. Some did make me sad as they are pix of folk no longer living here or even alive. I was also saddened to recall all the hope and sense of a fulfilling future I still had in those years. Now I find myself, more and more, mostly just focusing on cleaning out my rooms so I don't leave such a pile of junk for others to have to cope with. The worst, though, of what I'll leave behind? The thousands and thousand of photos and poems of mine. The vast majority at this point are in digital form (though there is still a considerable number of paper prints of both). So they can just be left to disappear into cyberspace. And that makes me saddest of all. Well, at least I've had the joy of creating them. And that thought will just have to be enough to sustain me on my way out of this life.

FIRST CONTACT

"First Contact" (old pix 6-5-09 18372a[3]) was just slightly fudged out of a very old pic version of mine. Mostly just a softening of the colors and a wee bit of cropping (to cut off the sort of shadowy narrow border Windows 10's Photos program creates with certain of its functions ... ack). Yeah, there I go again complaining about an image editing program. And I may have a bearable solution near at hand. If I'd only get the copy of the instruction book that's waiting for me. Well, this tears it! I'm emailing that guy now and asking him to leave it for me at the front desk.

RECALLING THE WATER BEARER

"Recalling the Water Bearer" (Screenshots 5-7-19[7] tthabol) is the same bird bath I posted a pic of yesterday, taken from a slightly different angle and heavily fussed with in Photoshop years ago. All I did to it today was crop it a wee bit on the left. Nothing much else to say about it except that, as I noted yesterday, I still miss this lady. She was in our Promenade garden and I have many pix of her taken in various lights and seasons. A few endlessly fudged with, as this one.
