DRAWING DOWN THE RAIN

"Drawing Down the Rain" (5-27-15 045v2t) was just now tortured out of a really old version of a much older original pic. Had great fun with the many moods and scenarios that presented as I fiddled with it. I finally settled on the one in the title and "finished" the pic based on that. When I'd realized this morning that a full moon is coming up on the 30th (and that's one of the reasons I'm a bit crazier than usual) I recalled a Pagan ritual called "Drawing Down the Moon." It was a short hop from that to drawing down the rain in this time of drought! (Especially once I brought out the aquas and blues ...) BTW, if I remember correctly, in the Drawing Down the Moon ritual, the High Priestess draws the moon's energy down into the sacred circle, standing with her arms up and open before the altar, etc., etc. And I see reaching arms in this cactus's stance.

CAUGHT UP IN IT ALL

"Caught Up In It All" (5-27-15 026v2f) was just now fussed from an old (can you guess) version of an even older pic. Not particularly taken with it, but I do really like this color combo! It's got me hooked for sure. And on just now looking at it again, I like that sense of activity, of climbing. I'd originally thought to call this pic "Me, Too! Me, Too!" as each of these little succulents (cacti?) seem to pushing to be part of it all.

BRAGGADOCIO

"Braggadocio" (5-27-15 017v2g) was just now morphed from an old version of an even older pic (nu? nothing you ain't heard before from me here :-D). I'm not over the moon about it, but some of it makes me smile. Such as that one white form and the bright fuchsia form to its right. They look like wide open mouths to me (a fish's and a horse's respectively, to be exact; and I see other "mouthy" forms around the pic). Which is where the title comes from ... they look as if they're bragging to high heaven, if you will. Maybe singing, but for some reason I lean more toward bragging. Maybe it's the bold colors ...
