CLAMOR AT THE GATE

"Clamor at the Gate" (5-13-18 034v2) is one of those pix of mine I really like. Even though I wish I could do something with those white gate/bars in the background. I've tried a number of things but found making them some other more subtle color actually made the canna leaves less compelling visually. Again and again I learn from working on pictures what's true throughout life: everything's connected in some way. In any case, I do find this pic pleasant to look at. It's on my computer desktop at present.

ROSE IN BLOOM

"Rose in Bloom" (11-26-14 011v2a) was just tortured out of an old version of a very old original pic of mine. Not over the moon about it, but what's unusual about that? Am I overly critical or (as I often say) just a vastly mediocre "artist." No matter. I still enjoy taking pix and fussing at them on my computer. Gives this old brain something to do other than complain about arthritis pain or other things in life that aren't going her way ... you'd think (and I certainly do!) that she'd have gotten it by now that life's not about getting what you want, but living the life you have. And I have over 12,000 pix in my "garden" to play around with. :-)
